 John Dyck

1958 – 2024

Born April 23, 1958, John came to the world with a need to take things apart and put them back together. To fix anything that might be broken or that could be improved. From farm equipment, to sleds, to a tv, anything he could he could tinker with, he would.

It was in 1977, John met the love of his life, Heather, and then had two girls. All three were diamonds in his eyes.

Life and circumstance took him from Winnipeg to Morden, to South Carolina and back. And Heather and the kids were with him every step of the way.

On his return to Canada, a midwinter accident upended all their lives. Yet John still strove and fought until he was back on his own two feet, using his own two hands and opened Start and Charge and anyone who knows that name, knows that John was available, night and day, all hours, any time of the year. His massive heart extended to anyone in need of getting somewhere. He understood every hardship and every struggle. He loved and cared for all his neighbors, physically and empathetically.

He is survived by his wife, Heather, his daughters Melissa (Etienne Desormeaux) and Melanie (Bryan Wiebe), his grandkids (Emily and Leo), his siblings, Randy, Alma, and Al as well as their families.

If there is anyone here who isn’t a Christian, ask God into your life, because his Love, as we all know, is as precious as life itself.

We love you, John. And we will see you in heaven!
