1957-2022
After almost 2 years of battling cancer, Margaret (Marge) Wall (nee Buhler) at the age of 65 passed away peacefully on September 4,2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Marge was born to David and Anna Buhler on June 27, 1957 in Altona, Manitoba. She was the youngest child born to David and Anna Buhler. She was baptized upon the confession of her faith in June, 1976, in the Altona Reinlander Church. Marge later married the love of her life Frank Wall on July 10, 1977 and they resided in Winkler where they raised their five children and later welcomed with love 3 sons in law, 1 daughter in law and 13 grandchildren.
Anyone who knew Mom knew she loved Jesus and her family. It was evident that she lived to serve and please others, always putting others before herself. Mom worked countless hours doing whatever she possibly could for her children and grandchildren. Throughout the year’s mom was active in the church, teaching Sunday school and diligently serving at weddings and funerals with her ladies group. Earlier on in life mom enjoyed working in clothing retail and later found enjoyment cleaning at Triple E and for other families who always quickly became her friends. Mom was a woman of many talents. There was nothing she could not do! She did it all; from being the best cook around, sewing, gardening, making wedding cakes and floral arrangements, playing the organ to immaculate cleaning and organizing. Moms happy place was definitely the kitchen. Anytime we would walk through those welcoming doors of their home that is where you would find her. Even as her illness progressed that is where she was, always wanting to serve her family in that capacity.
Unfortunately, Mom became progressively sicker and weaker in the last while following her bout with Esophageal cancer, but she remained so steadfast, positive and determined through it all. Those traits kept her going even in her darkest most painful days. Her ‘pick me ups’ in life were visits from her family and grandchildren and coffee stop ins from her friends. As mom now rests in perfect peace and health face to face with Jesus with no more pain and sickness, we rejoice with her but miss her so very dearly. Moms legacy she has left behind for us is deep and rich and we will carry that with us forever. Mom, you were the heartbeat of our family. We love you so very much; but now go, rest safe in the arms of Jesus, and when the roll is called up yonder, we'll be there.
Marge was predeceased by her parents, David and Anna Buhler; her stepmom, Katherine Buhler, four of her brothers, four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband, Frank, her children: Teresa (Frank) Peters, their children, Braeden, Madalynn and Taylor, Rachel (Mark) Braun, their children, Allison, Heidi, Lindsey, Drayson and Emery, Ron (Tracy) Wall, their children, Isabell, Brooklyn and Jaxson, Ryan Wall, Larissa (Landon) Pearse, their children, Kash and Hudson, six sisters, three brothers, ten sisters-in-law and seven brothers-in-law.
On behalf of Dad and the whole family, we would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during Mom’s illness and passing. Thank you for all of the visits and meals that were provided. A special thank-you to Trevor from Wiebe Funeral Home for being there for the family and to Wiebe Funeral Home for making funeral arrangements. A big thank-you to the staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre for their excellent care and compassion shown to Mom.
