Bernhard B. Klassen (Ben)

1945 – 2022

Bernhard B. Klassen (Ben) was born on February 19, 1945 at the Altona Hospital. He was the second youngest of 13 children born to John and Maria Klassen.

On July 15, 2022 Ben, surrounded by his family, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior. A man strong in his faith and love of God, he will be rejoicing that he has come home in heaven. We his family look forward to the day where we will see him again.

Ben was predeceased by his sister, Ann in childhood, his parents, John and Maria Klassen, his brothers, Dave, Jake, Dick, Abe and Johnny and his sisters, Tina, Betty and Marie. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary, their children, Earl (Leah), Karl (Tracy) and Allison; by their beloved grandchildren, Breann, Natalie, Cassidy, Ryan and Brandon. And he will be lovingly remembered by his many family and friends that became family.

A private family funeral was held on Sunday July 17, 2022 with interment at the Weidenfeld Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Wiebe Funeral Homes for the arrangements, John and Marg Zacharias for officiating the service and their loving and encouraging words during this time. Thank you also to the many friends and family that visited Ben when he was sick. Ben treasured all of those conversations and they made his day more enjoyable. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ben’s memory to Gospel Echoes in Winkler.
