Memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday February 11, 2020 at the Morden EMMC. Private family interment prior to the service. Donations may be made in Mary's memory to Gideons International.


Mary Vogt (nee Pauls)
1935 - 2020
 
Mary was born to Isaac and Annie Pauls on May 19, 1935 in Osterwick, MB. Mom was an only child. She went to school in Rosengart and Rhineland. After finishing Grade 10, she went to Elim Bible School in Altona. Mom was baptized upon the confession of her faith on June 6, 1954 at the Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church. On July 8, 1956 mom married George Vogt. Their first year of marriage was spent in Winnipeg. When they left Winnipeg, they purchased their farm southeast of Crystal City. They had three children: Alvina, Lois, Kevin. In 2007, Mom and Dad left the farm and purchased a house in Morden where they semi-retired. seven years later they moved to Oak West and then in March of 2019 to Homestead South. On January 17, 2020 she broke her hip and had surgery. In the following weeks her health began to deteriorate and on February 5, 2020 she passed away peacefully.
 
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre, the numerous homecare workers, as well as Homestead South staff and residents.
 
Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, George, daughter, Alvina (Ernie Pauls), their two children, Renee (Kyle Peters), great grandchildren, Lauren, Isabelle and Cohen, Ryan (Tara) Pauls and great grandson, Roy, daughter, Lois (Don Warkentin) and their two children, Chelsea and Myles Warkentin and son, Kevin Vogt. Mom was predeceased by her parents, four sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.
 
Memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday February 11, 2020 at the Morden EMMC with private interment prior to the service at Southside Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Gideons International.
