Married Jake Janzen from Rudnerweide August 2nd, 1953.  Dad predeceased her April 30, 2015.  Rudnerweide was their home until their move in 2009 to Appleton apartments in Morden.  During their 61 ½ years together they had 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren;

Mom was a quiet, caring, and giving woman to the end as her neighbors and hospital staff will attest.  Always a smile and welcome to anyone who came to see her.

Dad & Mom often spent winters in Arizona and stayed as long as they could.  Many happy hours were spent with the snowbirds there and back in Manitoba during the summer months.  Everywhere they went enjoyed visiting with friends over coffee.

Mom enjoyed crocheting lap blankets, sewing blankets or garments for her new grand and great grandchildren.  Hobbies include cooking, puzzling, reading, sing along, watching TV game shows, and playing with friends on Tuesdays, and family.  She was an excellent player at Sequences.

She was a farmer’s wife but also engaged a retail career from 1980 to 1999; worked at Factory Warehouse, Gord’s Department Store, Softline Fabrics.

Her last move was into Legion II, December 27, 2016.

February 3rd she went to hospital for treatment of several health events which continued for the next 6 weeks followed by 5 months in rehab.  She resumed assisted living at the Legion for over a month but suddenly experienced a major setback.  5 days later with family by her side she passed away peacefully to be with the Lord Friday September 1st, 2017.

She is survived by her children and their families;
