Beatrice Eleanor Maxwell (nee Stevens)

1921 – 2015

MaxwellBeeOn Wednesday December 30th, 2015 Beatrice (Bea) Maxwell passed away at the Pembina Manitou Personal Care Home. Bea was the eldest daughter of Herb and Emma Stevens of Darlingford and was born on May 14. 1921. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at Darlingford and Manitou schools. On October 23rd, 1946 she married Stan Maxwell of Snowflake and for 30 years they continued to farm on the same land that her father had. When Stan and Bea retired they moved into Darlingford where they truly enjoyed their retirement. After Stan passed away in 1992 she moved to Morden, Manitoba and resided there until she moved to Manitou in the fall of 2013.

Bea was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Stan, son Ray, brothers Everett and Allen. She will be dearly missed by her son Ron (Debbie) of Douglas, Manitoba; daughter Karen (Don) of Regina, Saskatchewan; daughter-in-law Linda Maxwell of Darlingford; sister Eva McClay of Winnipeg; sister-in-laws Joyce Maxwell-Windsor of La Riviere, Manitoba, Helen Bryant of Terrace, B.C., Joyce Keating of Carman, Manitoba and Jean Stevens of La Riviere, Manitoba; grandchildren: Sheldon, Devon, Jason, Cheryl, Darryl, Kevin, Marci, Christopher and also leaves six great grandchildren: Nadine, Julian, Danica, Dylan, Kyler and Braxton.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: the Darlingford Cemetery Fund, Darlingford Zion Calvin United Church or the Pembina Manitou Personal Care Home.
