They were married for 24 years, eight months and 18 days and had three children together.

Lisa’s health had been poor for the last 12 years. She was diagnosed with fibromyalgia which caused her a great deal of pain. In the summer of 2014, she was also diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. On Tuesday March 17, 2015 after being admitted to Intensive Care at St. Boniface Hospital, Lisa was diagnosed with septic pneumonia. On Wednesday March 18, 2015 with her family by her side, she went to be with her Lord and Saviour.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Jake, her children, Daniel, Rebekah and Rachel, her parents, one sister, one brother, four sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law and their families. She was predeceased by her father-in-law and brother in law, Peter R Peters and Cornelius Peters on March 21, 1989 and her mother-in-law, Katherina Peters on December 4, 2014.

Funeral service on Monday March 23, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with interment at Rosenbach Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Woelk and the nursing staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre and the doctors at St. Boniface Hospital for all of the care and compassion for Lisa; also Bishop Art Wiebe and Wiebe Funeral Homes for all their help and support. But mostly, a great big thank you to all who prayed and continue to pray.
