Helena (Lenie) Elizabeth Dell

February 2, 1955 - March 16, 2015

Lenie Dell sqOn Monday, March 16, 2015 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Lenie Dell aged 60 years went to her eternal rest.

Lenie was born and lived her entire life in Morden, MB. Anyone who knew Lenie, knew that the love of her life were her nieces and nephews.  Mentioning a few of the highlights with them were Mark and Janine’s wedding and Kurt and Courtney’s wedding, having supper and watching the Jets play with Rachel at Rach’s. A special event she still spoke of was Brent and Joanna’s wedding.  Seeing Joanna so happy and being able to visit with Joey was special to her.  Another special event for her was the arrival of BJ and Steph’s daughter, Keelin. This past year some of her favourite times were at the hockey rink, talking with Angie and being able to watch Chloe, Mitch and Chelsea. Planning out the monthly schedule to see them play was often our main point of conversation.  How I will miss our Don Cherry conversations. Sports were one of her favourite pastimes; on TV or at the rink.

When her health started to fail her, she met so many new friends.  Her new family were at the Dialysis Unit at Boundary Trails and also everyone at Tabor Home.  As time moved on, everyone soon found out mornings were not her thing.  She felt close to and thought of many of the staff and residents as family and friends.

She leaves to mourn her passing her sister, Grace and husband, Bob, her brothers, Ralph and John and wife, Marilyn as well her nieces and nephews and their families.  She was predeceased by her mother, Helena (nee Kassteen), her father, Charlie Dell, brother, Terry Dell, sisters-in-law, Margaret Dell and Sophie Dell and nephew, Mark Dell. Lenie’s family would like to send a special note of thanks to the Tabor Home staff, handi-van drivers, Dean and Abe and of course, the Dialysis Staff for the years of care you they had all extended to Lenie.  So many of you were able to see past Lenie’s rough exterior to her true loving and caring soul.  The woman’s heart was as big as she was.  For your kindness we thank you. Love from the Dell Family

Cremation has taken place and at Lenie’s request, no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lenie’s memory to the Tabor Home Building Fund
