Helen Hiebert (nee Letkeman)
1918 - 2014
Helen passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014, just nine days short of her 96th birthday. She was born December 29, 1918 in the R. M. of Stanley. She was the eldest with five brothers and five sisters.
Surviving her are two daughters and one son: Pearl Peters (Ross Varney) from Lethbridge, Alberta (her two children, Marcee (Allen) Hamilton of Stonewall, Owen (Hazel) Peters of Calgary, Alberta), Frances (Albert) Warkentin of Morden (their two children, Brenda Warkentin of Morden and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Warkentin of Ste Agathe), Reginald Hiebert of Winkler(his two sons, Tim Geisel of Winnipeg and Colin Dornez of Labroquerrie) as well as great grandchildren, Angela, Kristen (Jeremy), Matthew, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Taylor and Amber. She is also survived by one brother, John (Linda) and two sisters, Margaret and Agnes.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jacob P Hiebert in 2011, her parents, Peter M and Helena (nee Fehr) Letkeman, four brothers, Peter, Jake, Diedrich and Isaac and three sisters, Anne, Mary and Eva as well as one son in law, Rick Peters.
Memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday December 24, 2014 at Wiebe Funeral Chapel in Morden with interment prior at Chapel Cemetery.
The family wants to thank you for your prayers and support to help us thru this difficult time. We are also very grateful to the staff and doctors at Tabor Home for the excellent care and compassion Mom received during her stay, Thank You.
