Jacob “Jake E” Harder

1938 – 2014

On Tuesday January 28, 2014 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Jake E Harder aged 75 years of Winkler, MB formerly of Ontario went to his eternal rest.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Helen (nee Giesbrecht), two daughters, Mary and Jake Hiebert of Winkler, Tena and Henry Martens of Winkler, three sons, , John and Arlene Harder of Schanzenfeld, Pete and Freda Harder of Powerview, Ben and Jill Harder of Winkler as well as 15 grandchildren. He is also survived by his step family, Bev, Rick and Ann, Arnold and Lydia, Bob and Mary, Leonard and Rose, Aron, Menno, Helen and Dave Reimer, 31 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Maria (nee Neufeld) in 2008 and two children in infancy, Willie and Susan.

Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday February 2, 2014 at the Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with interment at the Chortitz Old Colony Mennonite Church Cemetery.
