1940 – 2014

 

Vern StriemerOn Saturday August 16, 2014 at St. Boniface Hospital, Vern Striemer, aged 74 years of Winkler, MB went to his eternal rest.

 

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Marilyn (nee Martens), two sons, Vince Striemer and Steve and Kim Striemer as well as two sisters, Jane Janzen and Maryanne and Denny Moore.

He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Mary (nee Sawatzky), brother-in-law, Jake Janzen and one sister and brother-in-law, Joc and Henri Erstelle.

 

Memorial service was held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Home Chapel in Winkler with interment at the Harvest Heritage Columbarium.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Vern’s memory to the Pembina Thresherman’s Museum.

I will miss seeing Mr. Striemer at the store . Remember ? I always bugged him about keeping the "Canadian tire " money for my Christmas present ! . I was sorry to hear about his passing . Praying Gods comfort for all of you

Sorry to hear of Vern's passing. I worked with him for many years at TRC. He was a good man and I enjoyed chatting with him. My deepest sympathies to his family.
