Tina was born at home in the Kronsthal District on April 16, 1922. She was the 11th of 15 children born to Isaac and Barbara Fehr. She was baptized in the Sommerfelder Church in 1942. Soon following she met her future husband, Peter Krahn at a local wedding. They were married on June 8, 1947. Dad worked for various farmers in the area and in the early 1950’s they purchased their homestead in the Kronsthal District. The next 25 years were devoted to mixed farming and raising their three children. In March 1975 Dad was admitted to hospital. He died of cancer on June 3, 1975. In 1985 Mom moved to Winkler. Not willing to be idle Mom began volunteering at the MCC store. She served there faithfully for over 20 years. On April 20, 2011 she had the first of three heart attacks, all of which occurred within a week. After her stay in hospital she returned home and slowly gathered strength. On Feb 20, 2012 she suffered a stroke. This past year was filled with many adjustments as she awaited placement in Salem Home. Approximately three weeks ago, while still waiting for placement, she developed a blockage in her abdomen – a condition that could not be resolved. Mom peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2013.
