Pauls, Ruth

Ruth Pauls (nee Enns)
1943 - 2012

Pauls_Ruth_sqOn Tuesday April 3, 2012, at her residence in Morden, MB, at the age of 69 years, Ruth Pauls, our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Sister, Sister-in-law and dear friend, went to her eternal rest.

Ruth was born in Bethel Hospital in Winkler, MB. In 1970, she married Ed Pauls, also of the Morden area, to whom she remained married for 38 years until his passing. Ed and Ruth resided in the Steinbach area for 21 years from 1971 thru 1992, returning to the Morden area in 1997. While living in the Steinbach area, Ruth enjoyed working in the family garden growing fruits and vegetables which would be canned in the summer for her family to enjoy during the winter months. She also liked working on the hobby farm with her husband, Ed, where they raised pigs and chickens. Upon moving back to Morden, Ruth became a member of Hillside Community Church. On Sundays, while Ed was still at her side, they took their grandchildren to church with them. She continued this act of love until her passing. Ruth was a devoted Christian and loved her Saviour, Jesus Christ. Her passion was attending her Church group meetings, playing piano and singing Christian hymns.

Ruth will be greatly missed by her loved ones, daughter, Connie and Steve Parent and their 2 children of Lake Mary, Florida, son, Floyd (and Christine of Winkler) Pauls and their 2 children of Steinbach, 3 brothers and their families, 2 sisters, and also her in-laws and their families. Ruth was predeceased by both parents, 2 brothers, one granddaughter, and her beloved husband, Ed, in 2008.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Christian Life Center in Morden. Interment followed at Southside Cemetery.

Our family would like to express our sincere gratitude to Pastor Jake Friesen, Wiebe Funeral Home, the serving group and all others who have sent prayers and given support during this diffcult time.

If friends so desire, donations may be made to assist the family with expenses to Wiebe Funeral Home.
