Karen and Ivan:

We never had the opportunity to meet Matt. We can't totally imagine the reality of losing a son, but do want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as you are forced to embark on this difficult journey. We hope you will find encouragement and experience God's embracing love through the care of those around you, now, and in the days/weeks/months/years to come.

From Beijing,
Kathi (Regier) and Rod Suderman

Dear Karen & Ivan.....No words can express how sorry we are to hear of Matt's passing. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. You could always tell from a long end off that Matt was walking down the street by the lighthearted spring in his step. May the memories you hold in your heart bring healing and peace to your soul.

Dear Karen & Ivan,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of grief, sorrow and loss of your precious son. We will never understand why God took him at such a young age. God had a plan for Matthew Gordon, and when that plan was completed God took him to be with him. We can rejoice in the fact that someday we will see him again.
Love, Gordon & Verna Neufeld

Dear Karen and Ivan,
As you can imagine, our thoughts and prayers are with you the same as if we were right there beside you. Our hearts, heavy with sorrow, keep us painfully aware of how we could not be there in your time of need. Matt was the best of cousins for our children, a wonderful nephew, a good kid and a great father. He will be sadly missed by all the lives he touched while here.

Karen & Ivan, we are so sorry for the loss of your precious son. Between grades 9-11 Matt spent a lot of time at our house and joined our family for many dinners. We always remember his great sense of humor and he was always a very respectful young man. He always talked about what a great mom he had. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Karen, Ivan and Scarlett.
There are no words that can be said to take the pain away. No parent should have to bury a child. We lost our 7 year old 6 months ago in an accident and it still hurts. It may be weeks, months, or years down the road but if you ever need to talk or just cry together you can call us anytime. 325-4262. We are praying for you.

Karen, Ivan and Scarlett.
I'm very sorry for your loss. Matt was a great person. His funeral was a tough one for me, seeing his daughter in her pretty dress just made me sad that Matt won't be around for her :(. It was great to see so many of his friends come out!! I'll be thinking about you. Take care.
