Margard “Margaret” Harder (nee Kӧhler)
April 16th, 1922 ~ October 3rd,2011
Margaret, beloved wife of Peter Henry Harder, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Boundary Trails Health Centre at the age of 89 years. Margaret was born in Germany in 1922. Margaret was pre-deceased by her parents Felix and Adele, two brothers Felix and Fritz and three sisters Gertrud, Anna and Lotte.
Margaret came to Canada in the 50s. She lived and worked in Saskatchewan at the University of Saskatchewan where she was employed as a Lab Technician. She married Peter in 1983. She took up residence in the Pembina Valley living in Plum Coulee, Winkler, and Morden.
Peter passed away in 2003, and Margaret spent her final years as a resident of Legion House #1. Due to her poor health, Margaret was hospitalized in April, 2011. She was paneled and waiting to be moved to a Personal Care Home at the time of her passing. Cremation has taken place.
Funeral Service was held at Wiebe Funeral Chapel Morden, MB Friday October 7th, 2011 at 2:00 pm. The reverend Morris Vincent officiating.
Interment took place at the Winkler Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
