Herman “Herb” Suderman

1954 - 2011

herb_sudermanAfter a brave and courageous battle with cancer, peacefully with family at his side Herb Suderman passed away at Boundary Trails Health Center on Tuesday July 19, 2011 at the age 57 years.

Herb was born in Chihauhau, Mexico on February 4th 1954 to Jacob and Susanna (nee Teichroeb) Suderman. At the age of 3 years old, Herb and his family moved to Canada. He was baptized upon the confession of his faith on June 2nd 1974. He shared his faith daily with friends, family, co-workers and even hospital staff during his illness. He met his sweetheart Linda Wall in 1972 and was married on June 29th, 1975. Herb and Linda were blessed with 3 children, a son-in-law, daughter-in-law and 3 beautiful grandchildren. Just recently they were able to share and celebrate their 36th wedding anniversary together.

Friends and family remember Herb for his sarcastic sense of humour and quick wit. With his engineering background he always had advise or had things figured out before you could think twice. Herb always was the one to think of a unique, “different” way of doing things. The last several family Easters Herb had developed the ultimate Easter treasure hunt – creating a game that had the whole family involved. Herb had a deep appreciation for his children, their accomplishments and their career paths. After finishing his diploma in Electrical Engineering and several certifications in Industrial Electronics, Herb received a job at 3M Canada as a Maintenance Engineer bringing the family to Morden, MB where he resided for the last 25 years.   Herb worked at 3M for 23 years and took early retirement in 2009. He took great pride in his job and always spoke highly of his amazing co-workers.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Linda (nee Wall), his daughter, Audrey and Kyle Wiebe of Morden, two sons, Tim and Christine Suderman (Taylor, Emma, Hayden) of Morden and Jeff Suderman of Morden. He is survived by six sisters and five brothers and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Susanna Suderman and brother, Tony.
