GuderianEmmaSQ.jpgIt is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, mother-in-law and special friend, Emma Guderian aged of 90 years formerly of Darlingford, MB peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday September 23, 2010, at Pembina Manitou Health Centre.

Emma was born May 28, 1920 to Anton and Rose Noheil and came to Canada in 1927. Emma was one of 7 children. She married Alex Guderian Sr. In 1940 and they farmed in Pearce, Windygates and the Pembina Valley district. They raised their children together. Emma was blessed with many close friends in each of these communities. She enjoyed family visits and watching the grandchildren grow. She also enjoyed puzzles, gardening and travelling on bus tours.

Emma is survived and deeply missed by her daughter, Elaine Collins of Morden, 3 granddaughters, Anita (Mel), Tannis (Pete), Vonnie (Derrick); 4 great grandchildren, Brittany, Blayne, Dylan and Damian and one great great grandson, Preston as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alex Guderian Sr. in 1970, daughter, Marion in infancy, son, Alex Jr, son-in-law, Arnold Collins, her parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Memorial service was held on Tuesday September 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Chapel in Morden. Private family interment took place at Darlingford Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emma’s memory to the Pembina Manitou Health Centre.
