David "Harold" Schulz

1928 - 2010 

schultz 3.jpgIt is with joy we announce that as of Wednesday September 8, 2010 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Harold Schulz aged 82 years of Plum Coulee, MB has been set free from the pain of his cancer and the confusion from his stroke and medication and entered the peaceful place of his Maker.

Harold was passionately involved in the village of Plum Coulee as a teacher, principal, school administrator, mayor, councillor for many years.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Mary Schulz (nee Braun) of Plum Coulee; a daughter, Pam and William Bowey of Winnipeg, 4 sons, Robert and Debbie Schulz of Winkler, Avery and Theresa Schulz of Plum Coulee, Reuben and Carol Schulz of Winkler, Cameron and Suzanne Schulz of Morden as well as 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. He is survived by 2 sisters, Linda Neufeld and Olga Teichroeb, 4 brothers, Ben Schulz, Menno Schulz, Waldo and Helen Schulz, Victor and Rosella Schulz.

He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Albert and Leonard.

Memorial service was held on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Altona Bergthaler Mennonite Church. Private family interment was prior to the service.

Mary and the family would like to thank all of Harold’s caregivers, extended family and friends for lending encouragement and support during Harold’s journey.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Harold’s memory to either the Mennonite Central Committee or Boundary Trails Health Centre Cancer Care Unit.
