Clark Douglas Elder

1991 – 2009

ElderClark.jpgClark Elder, age 18 years, of Morden MB died suddenly on June 26, 2009, just a few days after he proudly received his Grade 12 Diploma.

Clark was born on January 10, 1991 in Yorkton SK, and lived with his family in Roblin, MB until 2000. When he was nine years old, Clark and his family moved to Morden MB, where they remained until his death.

Clark was a fun loving young man whose contagious energy shone through his eyes. At times he demonstrated remarkable maturity and deep caring through gestures of kindness such as stepping in to coach, or showing a new student around school. Academics may not have been Clark’s passion, but school was important to him because that’s where his many friends were. He loved team sports, especially baseball. Clark was delighted to receive two awards in Grade 12, in recognition of his participation and leadership skills; a Spirit Award and a Coaches Award.

Clark’s family meant the world to him. He and Brooke were always just a call away from each other, and he enjoyed spending time with his mom and Ron, his cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandma and grandpa.

Clark will be sorely missed by his mom, Cheryl Digby (and Ron Funk), dad, Keith Elder, sister, Brooke (and Markus Schroeder), nephew, Ryan, grandparents, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, and many friends and their families.

He was predeceased by his cousin, Breanne Eve Digby in 1994.

Funeral service for Clark was held at the Morden Recreation Centre on Wed, July 1, 2009 at 2 pm and interment followed at Hillside Cemetery, Morden.

Near the end of his life, Clark encouraged his friends to "Deal with the bad, live with the good - live life to the fullest – no regrets". Clark lived by his own advice. Well done, Clark.
