Tina was born on August 21, 1939 in Winkler, MB. She grew up in Reinfeld, MB where the family farmed. She attended elementary school in Reinfeld and high school in Winkler. Following graduation from high school in 1957, she worked at CIBC. She was baptized in 1956 in the Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church. Tina married Abe B. Tina joined her husband in the family business, Berdick Windows and Doors where she worked in the office for over 30 years.

Tina had a passion for music. She received her ARCT piano teacher’s degree and taught piano for many years. She made sacrifices to ensure that her children received musical training. Tina encouraged her daughters to pursue educational achievements and to qualify themselves for a career. Her children and grandchildren brought her much joy and she was proud of each of them. She was always very involved in church programs and activities. Tina will be remembered for her faith in God and the love she showed her family. She was always more concerned about other people than herself and was willing to change her plans at a moment’s notice to lend a helping hand.

A celebration of Tina’s life took place on Saturday June 6, 2009 at 11:00 am at Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church. Interment followed at Westridge Memorial Gardens.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Tina’s memory to either Mennonite Central Committee or to the Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church Bethesda Ladies Fellowship which will both be available at the church. The family would like to thank the staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre for the care they provided.
