Kelly Douglas Wolfe

1964 – 2008 

Kelly Douglas Wolfe was born February 4, 1964 in Morden MB, and passed away Sunday April 20, 2008 at the age of 44 years at Medora Bay in Winkler, MB where he resided.

As a child Kelly attended elementary school in Thunder Bay, ON, Morden, and Winkler. After elementary school he attended high school at Garden Valley Collegiate until the age of 21. Upon completion of high school he began employment at what was formerly named "The Valley Rehab Centre" now Gateway Resources Inc. There he did various tasks such as shredding paper, which was one of his favourite tasks to do. 

Kelly will be remembered for his love for people and his family, always ready to engage in conversation; Kelly never forgot a face, once he met you he always would remember who you were. In his late 20's Kelly made the difficult transition of moving out of his parents’ home, and lived with Peter and Ann Neufeld of Winkler for an extended period of time. After residing there for many years, it was decided that he move to Medora Bay. While staying at there he met workers and residents whom he openly befriended. Living at Medora Bay gave Kelly the opportunity to attend Flyers hockey games, which he enjoyed. Kelly enjoyed bowling a great deal and had the opportunity to join bowling competitions for special needs individuals and he was able to win a number of awards for his bowling abilities. But most of all, Kelly valued those he loved, this was seen by the many photos of his family and friends on display in his room. Kelly will be deeply missed and remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. 

He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, Jake and Jane (nee Pauls) Wolfe of Winkler; 1 sister, Kristel of Winnipeg and 2 brothers, Rod and Michael of Winkler. 

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Pembina Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Sullivant officiating.  Interment took place at Winkler Cemetery.
