John G. Hiebert

1917 – 2007

On Thursday, December 20, 2007 at his residence in Morden, MB, John G. Hiebert aged 90 years passed away.

Mr. Hiebert was a well-known businessman in Morden and owner of Thornview Grocery until his retirement in 1982.

He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, Mary (nee Scott); her daughter, Doreen and Rob Halle of Ajax, ON (Marc, Matt) her son, Ed Ellison of Edmonton, AB as well as 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

He was predeceased by 2 sisters, 3 brothers and 2 brothers in infancy.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s United Church with Wendy Rankin officiating.  Interment followed at Chapel Cemetery.
