On Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Boundary Trails Health Center Annie Bjornson (nee Thiessen), aged 87 years of Morden, MB formerly of Thornhill, MB went to her eternal rest.

Annie was a wonderful mother and friend. The local kids all called her Grandma B. She always seemed to have kids visiting at her house. She had time to listen to them and would let them help her make buns or perogies. She loved to laugh, grow vegetables and flowers, dance to old time music, sightsee and visit but most of all she enjoyed baking buns and bread to serve with coffee to anyone who dropped by. Many were the neighbours and friends who received a bag of Annie's buns and homemade jam. She made friends wherever she went. She had a zest for life.

Her move to Legion House was a big change in her life but she embraced it and loved the home care staff who helped her out and the residents who were there to visit with. In particular, she so much enjoyed the lunch served every day in the dinning room. She will be greatly missed. We are happy in knowing that your eyes can see again and that you have no more pain. We love you mom and will miss you so much but our memories will sustain us.

She leaves to mourn her passing 1 daughter, Marilyn and Doug Bradley of St. Adolphe, MB; 1 son, Ben and Carole of Winnipeg, MB and 1 sister, Eva.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Magnus “Mike” Bjornson (2000); her parents, Ben and Helen (nee Dyck) Thiessen; 4 sisters and 5 brothers.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden with Rev. Alex Klages officiating.  Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Annie’s memory to the Thornhill Community Club Ltd. Box 14 Thornhill, MB R0G 1T0.
