Kroeker, Jacob “Jake”

Jacob “Jake” Kroeker

1915 – 2006

Kroeker, Jake.jpgOn Friday, December 15, 2006 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Jake peacefully went to be with his Lord and Saviour.  He enjoyed 91 years of earthly life and is now resting in the presence of Jesus.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 68 years, Helen (nee Dyck) of Morden; 2 daughters, Dorothy and Albert Klaassen of Morden, Lynda and Doug Penner of Morden; 2 sons, Ken and Linda Kroeker of Carman, Gordon and Lila Kroeker of Winnipeg.  Also cherishing his memory are his 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  He is survived by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Grandpa was predeceased by his parents, 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Jake was a quiet man.  He never raised his voice and spoke few words.  He had a good sense of humour and on many occasions liked to tease.  Jake loved his wife and family.  He prayed daily for his children and grandchildren as well as less fortunate underprivileged children in the world.  His faith in God was strong and he was confident that God’s will in his life was perfect.

Funeral service was held on December 18, 2006 at 11:00 am at Christian Life Centre in Morden with Rev. Weldon Yeo officiating.  Interment followed at Southside Cemetery.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Jake’s memory to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan 21 Leslie Dr. Morden, MB R6M 1P7 or Life Outreach International - Feed The Children Fund Box 4000 Langley, B.C. V3A 8J8.
