Kletke, Ivan.jpgIt is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ivan Kletke, aged 60 years of Morden on Monday, December 5, 2005 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Gail Kletke (nee Lemoine); son, Brent Kletke of Morden and his wife Monique and their baby Amalie as well as his daughter, Dana Kletke of Winnipeg.  He is also survived by brother, Herb (Helen) Kletke and sisters, Mina Gauthier, Joyce (Bill) Measor, Marilyn (Jack) Warkentin, mother-in-law, Georgia Lemoine, brother-in-law, Glenn (Sandra) Lemoine and many nieces and nephews.

Ivan was predeceased by his parents, August and Edith Kletke; one infant son, Garth Kletke; sister, Velma Gurr and brother, Harold Kletke.

Ivan was born April 3, 1945 at Teulon, MB.  He grew up on the family farm with his brothers and sisters.  He was confirmed on February 8, 1959 into the Lutheran Faith and was a faithful servant all these years.  Thirty-nine years ago, he married Gail Lemoine.  They had two sons and a daughter, Garth (who died in infancy), Brent and Dana.  They lived in Reston, Churchbridge and finally made their home in Morden.

Ivan was very active in his community, chairing many organizations including the Corn and Apple Festival, Morden Housing Authority, Morden Area Foundation and Christ Lutheran Church Council.  In 1988, he incorporated his own business specializing in radiant heating and heat pumps.  He enjoyed working with people and serving his customers to the best of his ability.  He loved to travel with his family, enjoyed making new friends and lived life to the fullest.  He will be greatly missed.


Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 10, 2005 at the EMM Church, Morden.  Rev. Morris Vincent will officiate with interment to follow in the Chapel Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at the Health Science Centre and at Boundary Trails Health Centre.
