b_175_245_16777215_00_images_Obit_Photos_2002_2005_Jacob_Enns.jpgAs a family we rejoice that Dad has been ushered into the presence of the Lord.  We mourn his passing and we will miss him dearly.  It is our hope in Christ, to one day stand before God as a family, His family.

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on October 26, 2004.

Dad will be greatly missed by his wife Catherina (Tina) Enns (nee Guenther), son Darren Enns of Winnipeg, daughter Brenda and husband Michael Grom and their children Byron, Kirsten, and Laura  of Winnipeg, and son Richard and wife Merinda Enns and their children Elliot and Jenissa of Montreal.  He is also survived by three sisters, Betty Martens of Saskatoon, Mary Jean Enns of Winnipeg, and Margaret Guenther of Gretna, and two brothers, John Enns of Morden, and Peter Enns of Morden.

Jake was predeceased by his parents John and Helena Enns of Morden, and his sister Helen Wiebe.

Jake was born south of Morden on April 5, 1939, 5th in a family of seven children.  Jake and Tina were married on September 3, 1960.  After living in Winnipeg for several years, the family moved to Morden to start the company "Southern Floorcraft".  The family moved to a small hobby farm south of Morden in 1975 and started the company "Mobile Drapery".   Jake and Tina retired to Morden in 1988.  They enjoyed travelling to many places around the world.  During his earlier years, Jake was an avid private pilot, and in his later years he developed a strong interest in photography and computers.

Jake was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren, providing practical help and advice whenever it was needed.  His love for family never wavered.  He was a spiritual model for his children. Dad was an intelligent, thoughtful, and artistic mentor for all of us.

Dad, we will miss you very much and look forward to seeing your resurrected body, whole and well.  Thank you Jesus for keeping him until we meet again.

A Celebration of Life was held on October  28th at the Morden Christian & Missionary Alliance Church with Pastor James Wieler officiating.  Internment took place at the Waldheim Cemetery.

If friends so desire donations in Jake’s memory may be made to Boundary Trails Palliative Care Unit.
