Jacob Penner.jpgOn Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre, Jacob Penner aged 83 years of Morden, MB formerly of Chortitz, MB went to his eternal rest.

He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Maria “Mary” Penner (nee Thiessen); 4 daughters; Tina and Abe Giesbrecht of Plum Coulee; Mary and Les Wieler of Morden; Susan and Larry Shewchuk of Petersfield; Judy and Jake Harms of Winkler; 6 sons; John and Betty of Winkler; Jake of Morden; Martin and Anne of Winkler; Pete and Barb of Morden; Neil of Winkler; Dave and Angela of Morden. He also leaves to mourn 27 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 6 brothers; Martin and Agatha of the Schanzenfeld District; Isaac of Winkler; John and Katherine of LaCrete, AB; Peter and Betty of Winnipeg; Abe and Sarah of Mission, BC; Neil and Judy of Morden; 2 sisters-in-law; Helen (George) of LaCrete, AB; Helen (Frank) of Aylmer, ON.

He was predeceased by 1 grandson, Dallas Wieler (1994); 1 sister Tina Wieler (2002); 3 brothers; Henry; George; Frank; 2 sisters-in-law Tina (Isaac); Nettie (George); 1 brother-in-law Ben Wieler (Tina).

Funeral service was held on Friday, April 23, 2004 at the Morden Sommerfeld Mennonite Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dave Wiebe officiating. Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery.
