Clifford Richard Hemminger
1922 - 2003
Peacefully on Monday August 18, 2003, age 81 years, Clifford passed away at Boundary Trails Health Centre. He was predeceased by his father Henry in 1980, mother Minnie in 1974, and his sister Celia Titchkosky in 1993.
He is survived by his wife Audrey (nee Kuhn); 2 daughters, Sandra and Roy; Cindy and Jim; 3 sons Richard and Marg, Lloyd and Vonnie; Rodney and Debbie; and families.
Clifford was born in 1922 in the Morden area. He grew up with his 4 brothers Ben, Herbert, Arthur, Leonard, and 1 sister Celia. He farmed in the 1- 6 and 1-7 areas most of his life and retired to Morden in 1974. He loved the land, fishing, golfing, playing cards, wood working, socializing at the Morden Friendship Centre, and dancing (especially polka). Clifford met Audrey in Winnipeg and was married October 28, 1944. They raised 5 children on the family farm in Windy Gates, Mb. He adored his eight grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren.
A private graveside service was held on Thursday August 21, 2003, 10:00am at the Chapel Cemetery, Morden. A reception followed for family and friends at the Wiebe Funeral Chapel Reception Hall, Morden.
