Henry T. Sawatzky

1924 - 2003

On Sunday April 27th, 2003 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Henry T. Sawatzky, aged 78 years, of the Glencross District, went to his eternal rest.

He leaves to mourn his wife Margaret (nee Hoeppner); 1 son Peter & Shirley Sawatzky of the Morden District; 7 daughters Hannah & Jake Elias of Calgary, AB; Betty & Cornie Elias of Morden District; Helen Wiebe of Carman; Maryann & Gordon Wolfe of Morden District; Susan Sawatzky of Winnipeg; Katie & John Elias of Morden District; Sara Hiebert of Winkler; 27 grandchildren and several great grandchildren

He was predeceased by 1 son Isaac Sawatzky in 1968; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday April 30, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pembina Valley Baptist Church, Winkler with Pastor Mike Sullivant officiating.  A private family committal took place at the Glencross Cemetery.
