Helen Krahn.jpgPeacefully on June 28th, our mother, grandmother and great grandmother fell asleep and went to her eternal rest.  She was predeceased by her husband Jacob J. Krahn in December of 1981 and one grandson Randy in January of 1983.  She leaves to mourn her three daughters; Lily and Bill Driedger of Winnipeg; Verna and Jake Hamm of Friedensruh; Frieda and Cornie Blatz of Winkler also six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Thursday July 3, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with Rev. Art Wiebe and Rev. David Friesen officiating.  Interment followed at the Winkler Cemetery.

We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses of the Boundary Trails Health Centre also the doctors and nurses of the Salem Home where she spent her last two years.  Let us not forget the activity directors, kitchen staff, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance staff and all the volunteers.  Also thank you to all the homecare workers who were all special in her life.  We would like to thank everyone for all the flowers, cards and food.  Thank you to the organist, all the pallbearers, ushers and the Salem Singers.  A special thank you to Rev. Art Wiebe of the Sommerfeld Church and Rev. David Friesen chaplain of the Salem Home.  Thank you to all the servers who served the meal at the church.  Last but not least thank you to Wiebe Funeral Home for such special care.  God bless you all.
