Gerhard “George” P. Thiessen
1915-2001
On Monday, May 28, 2001 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Winkler, Geroge P. Thiessen, age 86, of Winkler, formerly of Grimsby, south of Plum Coulee, went to his eternal rest.
He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Mary (nee Nickel); five daughters, Helen & Menno Dyck; Mary & John Forese; Anne & Don Hildebrand; Margaret & Cornie Penner; Tina & Abe Penner; three sons, Cornie & Betty; John & Kathy; Ed & Jeannie, 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 2, 2001, 2:00pm, Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, Winkler with Rev. Abe Wiebe officiating.
Interment followed at Winkler Cemetery. Donations may be made to Salem Foundation Inc. (165 15th St., Winkler, MB R6W 1T8).
