Mary Rempel

1955-2001

On August 15, 2001 at 1:24pm Mary Rempel (nee Klassen) went to her eternal rest after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer.

Mary was born to John and Katherine Klassen August 10, 1955 in Altona. She was baptized on confession of her faith on June 10, 1973. She married George Rempel on September 9, 1973. They made their home in Winkler and raised 3 sons. Dennis James, Leslie John, Vincent Ross.

Mary was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in February 1999. Along with surgery, Chemotherapy and radiation, Mary went to Mexico for alternative treatments.

She was survived by her beloved husband George, 3 sons Dennis and wife Cherie, Les and Vincent, 2 grandsons Brady and Carter. Her mother Katherine Klassen, 5 sisters, 5 brothers, their families and countless friends.

She was predeceased by her father John A. Klassen April 11, 1999. And one niece Courtney Jade Wall February 10, 1992.

Funeral service was held Saturday August, 18, 2001, 2:00pm at Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with Rev. Abe Wiebe & Rev. Art Wiebe officiating. Interment followed at Winkler Cemetery.
