On Saturday September 8, 2001, at Salem Home, Agatha Giesbrecht Rempel, age 69 years, of Winkler, formerly of Plum Coulee, went to her eternal rest.
Agatha loved to sing, and enjoyed flowers, her favorite flowers were tulips. She had a hard life, and was a diabetic for 25 years and she recently was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and suffered from heart failure.
She leaves to mourn her passing her 6 sons Ben & Anna of Plum Coulee; Abe & Tina of Plum Coulee; George & Eva of Winkler; John & Sandra of Plum Coulee; Ike & Susan of Plum Coulee; Henry & Trudy of Reinfeld; 4 daughters Tina & Pete Sawatzky of Plum Coulee; Susan & Darren Tashiro, A.B.; Helen & Frank Froese of Plum Coulee; Agatha Giesbrecht of Winkler; 32 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 brothers; 3 sisters.
She was predeceased by her parents Bernhardt & Katharina Bueckert; husband Abram Giesbrecht in 1973 and second husband Heinrich Rempel in 1996; son Frank; 1 grandchild; 1 great-grandchild; 2 brothers and one brother in infancy.
Funeral service was held on Thursday September 13, 2001 at 2:00pm at the Chortitz Old Colony Church, with Bishop Peter Elias officiating. Interment followed at the Chortitz Old Colony Church Cemetery.
