Allan Frank Williment


Peacefully on Friday June 6, 1997 at the Morden District General Hospital Allan F. Williment age 83 years of the Miami, Mb. District.

He will always be remembered and loved by his wife Alice; his 2 daughters Edith & husband Ken Pratt and their children Earl, Brenda & Sara; daughter Fern & husband Gordon Rawluk & their children Kimberly, Kevin & Shelly; 4 sons Lloyd Williment & Fran Day & his children Mark & Jeffrey; son Neil & wife Kathy Williment & their daughter Kara; son Roy & wife Tracy Williment & their sons Jason & Justin; and son Doug Williment and great grandchildren Hannah, Jonathan, Amy & Kaleigh; 3 sisters Olive Morrow, Grace Pfeil & Alice MacIntyre; 5 brothers Edgar, Frank, Walter, Elmer & Raymond WIlliment.

Allan was born April 19, 1914 at Miami Mb. He joined the Armoured Division of the Fort Garry Horse and served with this regiment throughout his service overseas from 1942 to 1945.

Allan was a member of the Miami Legion. He was a dedicated farmer in the Miami District for the last 50 years. He was actively involved in the community over many years making close friendships to those he knew. Allan enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and playing cards. Allans last wish was to fulfill his life on his farm.

The family would like to send a special thankyou to Dr. Gord Zacharias & the nursing staff for their care and compassion at the Morden Dist. General Hospital. Funeral service was held on Monday June 9 at 2:00pm at the Miami United Church with Rev. Robert Gilbert officiating. Interment followed in the Miami Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society – MB Div. Central Region 104-400 Stephen St. Morden, Manitoba R6M 1W3.

II Timothy 4 verses 7 & 8:

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course I have kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteous, which the Lord the righteous judge will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all those who have longed for his appearing.”
