Wiebe, aged 68 years of Morden, MB passed away with family at her side June 8,
2008 at Boundary Trails Health Centre after a hard battle with cancer.
She was born in Rocanville, SK and raised in Thunder Bay, ON.
She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Jack Wiebe of Morden; 5 children, Norma and Abe Wiebe of Winkler, Robert and Shirley Wiebe of Morden, Karen and Clinton Dyck of Morden, Ken Wiebe of Morden, John and Helen Wiebe of Edson, AB, as well as 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 sister, 1 brother, 1 step sister, 2 step brothers and their families.
She was predeceased by her parents, Angus and Catherine McLean, 3 brothers, Don, Keith, and Wes McLean, 2 sisters Vivian Hussey and Bernice Siemens and 1 step sister Peggy Neuman.
Memorial service was held on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Christian Life Centre in Morden with Rev. Weldon Yeo officiating. Ash interment followed at Hillside Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the community for their overwhelming support during this difficult time special mention to Doug Penner, Pastor Weldon Yeo and Christian Life Centre. A Special thanks to Boundary Trails Medical Ward and Cancer Care Department; Dr. Woelk who encouraged Laurette in the early days which enabled her to enjoy life at home for several months and Dr. Nause and the nurses in the chemo department for their caring support.
