Herbert Derksen

1927 – 2008

On Friday, January 18, 2008 at Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg, MB, Herbert Derksen of Winnipeg formerly of Thunder Bay, ON aged 80 years went to his eternal rest.

Herb worked many years for Canada Safeway and also in real estate in the Thunder Bay area.

He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, Elsie (nee Kehler) of Winnipeg; 3 daughters, Dianne and Frank Grant of Thunder Bay, ON, Pamela and Tom Francis of Burlington, ON, Valerie and Brian Soanes of Windsor, ON; 1 son, Daniel and Lynn Derksen of Ottawa, ON as well as 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.  Ash interment will take place at a later date at the Plum Coulee Cemetery.

We as a family would like to thank Dr. Cavers and the staff on the 5^th floor of the Victoria General Hospital for their excellent care of dad during his stay.
