Nettie Neustaedter (nee Engbrecht)

1925 - 2007

On Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at her residence in Morden, MB Nettie Neustaedter (nee Engbrecht), aged 81 years formerly of Crystal City, MB went to her eternal rest.

Nettie was born in Russia and immigrated as an infant to Saskatchewan with her family.  Eventually, they resided near Lena, MB and Nettie worked in Killarney for a short time.  She married Fred and they moved to a farm near Crystal City where they raised 6 children, many crops and livestock.  After thirty-one years of farming, they moved to Morden.  Gardening and plants were Nettie’s passions and her efforts brought praise from many right until the last.  Rest in peace, Mom.

She leaves to mourn her passing 1 daughter, Judy and Don of Roberts Creek, BC; 4 sons, Paul and Norma of Kelowna, BC, Harold and Donna of Crystal City, Aaron and Carol of Winnipeg, Don and Arden of Calgary, AB; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren including Linda’s family of Calgary, AB; 4 sisters and 1 brother.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick Neustaedter (2000); daughter, Linda (1990); 1 great grandson; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Funeral service was held on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Morden EMMC with Rev. Morris Vincent and Rev. Cornie Martens officiating.  Interment followed at Southside Cemetery.
