Margaretha “Margaret” Unrau

1911 - 2007 

On Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Margaret Unrau (nee Zacharias) aged 95 years 8 months of Morden, MB passed away.

She was born December 27, 1911 the 8^th child of Frank and Helena Zacharias (nee Hiebert).  Margaret married Peter F. Unrau in 1936 and their only child, Peter David (Pat) was born in 1937.  The family moved around quite a bit: Perves, Crystal City, Winnipeg and Red Deer, Alberta.  Peter and Margaret returned to Morden in 1979.

She was predeceased by her husband, Peter F Unrau (1981); 1 son, Pat (2003); 9 sisters and 3 brothers.

She leaves behind to grieve her passing her daughter-in-law, Shirley Unrau; 3 grandsons, Rob and Roxann, Brian and Melanie, Dan and Laura; 4 great grandchildren, Brett, Sabrina, Monica and Mya Mea.; 2 sisters, Agatha Dyck, Adeline Klassen; 1 brother, Dave and Olga Zacharias; sisters-in-law, Tina and Ike Klassen, Jessie and Jake Guenther, Elizabeth Zacharias, Diann Unrau and brother-in-law, Dave Unrau as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Margaret will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden, with Rev. Morris Vincent officiating.  Interment followed at Southside Cemetery.
