John Rempel

1907 – 2007

On Friday, June 22, 2007 at Salem Home in Winkler, MB John Rempel formerly of Myrtle, MB aged 100 years went to his eternal rest.

Dad lived his life with quiet and genuine faith in God and we know that he is now with his Lord and Saviour.

Dad was born on April 25, 1907 in Myrtle, MB.  He farmed in the Myrtle area until his retirement.  This was an occupation that he greatly enjoyed.  He also drove a school van for 17 years and told many stories about those experiences.

He leaves to mourn his passing 1 daughter, Erna and Jim Loewen of Plum Coulee (Greg, Valerie, Erin); 1 son, Paul and Susan Rempel of Roland (Colleen, Diane, Carolyn).

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Susan (nee Reimer) in 2000; his parents; 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Grace Mennonite Church with Rev. David Friesen officiating.  Interment followed at Winkler Cemetery.
