Katherine Goertzen (nee Buhler)

1924 – 2006

On Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Katherine Goertzen (nee Buhler) aged of 82 years of Winkler, MB went to be with her Lord.

She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband of sixty-two years, Jacob (Jake) of Winkler; her daughter-in-law, Betty Goertzen of Sioux Lookout, ON; 1 brother, Frank Buhler of Winnipeg, as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her 3 children, Jimmy (1948), Diana (1950) and Ken (2002) as well as parents, Aganetha (nee Funk) and George Buhler; a sister, Ann Braun and 2 brothers, George and John Buhler.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with Rev. Art Wiebe and Rev. Abe Wiebe officiating.  Interment followed at Winkler Cemetery.
