Jim McIntosh
November 5, 1946 - March 15, 2006
James Bertram Andrew McIntosh was born in Morden Manitoba November 5th, 1946.
Jim is survived by wife Jo Ann, son Joel, and daughter Janine. A younger son, Jeffrey, died August 18, 1990. Jim is also survived by six grandchildren; Nicholas, Katia, and Evan – born to Joel and Jennifer; and Avery, Erin, and Rachael – born to Janine and Ian.
He is also survived by his sister Marg (Margaret) Duncan, born 14 years before him on the very same day
He loved sports and participated in many. From his high school days until 1981, he golfed and curled, participating in many tournaments and even winning the longest drive a couple of times. His love of sports was passed on to his children.
Jim started working for Standard Brands in Winnipeg in 1966. Transferred within Nabisco in 1981 to the Toronto offices at the Eaton’s Center, he then moved to the Park Lawn office with the title of Director, National Distribution Operations, Grocery Division. His last workplace was the Brampton warehouse. Sadly after 36 years with the same company, he was forced to go on disability. During his career, he was loved by everyone. His co-workers appreciated the way he taught them how to manage the business and work with others.
While in Burloak Long Term Care Center, family and co-workers were frequent visitors. He got much satisfaction and joy seeing his grandchildren weekly.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for your many acts of kindness, thoughts, and for your attendance at the service.
