Ethel Cora Sisson (nee Watchorn)
1914 – 2006
On Sunday, February 5, 2006 at the Personal Care Home in Foyer Notre Dame, Ethel Cora Sisson (nee Watchorn), aged 91 years of Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB formerly of Miami, MB went to her eternal rest.
She was born at the family farm at Deerwood, MB on July 15, 1914. She worked as a local telephone operator and as a nurse’s aide and devoted most of her life to her family.
She leaves to mourn her passing 2 daughters Ila and Lorne Gemmell of Morden, Eunice Clyde of Dauphin; daughter-in-law Dora Rubidge; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; 1 sister Mary Pearson;1 brother Norman (Daisy) Watchorn.
She was predeceased by 3 husbands, Perce Rubidge (1966), Stephen Richtik (1982), Claude Sisson (1996); her only son Stanley (1981); grandson Dennis Mensies; and sons-in-law Ross Williams and Allan Clyde; her parents, Henry and Emma Watchorn and sisters Edna and Edith.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Miami Community Hall with Joe Kaminski officiating. Interment followed at Miami Cemetery.
