David A. Enns

Peacefully
on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre, David A. Enns,
aged 86 years of Morden, MB went home to be with his Lord and Saviour.
Dave was born in Arkadak, Russia on October 14, 1920 to Jacob and Maria Enns. Together with his family he immigrated to Canada in 1926 and settled in Chortitz, MB where he spent his childhood, and as an adult moved into the Morden area.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ann Enns (nee Shapansky) of Morden, one daughter Sharon and Ed Hoeppner of Winnipeg and their children, Cameron and Mikaela; one son Lorne and Marge Enns of Morden and their son Cody; three brothers, Peter and Sue Enns, Abe and Verna Enns, John Enns; one sister Marge and Vic Falk as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one son Gordon Enns in 1998, his parents Jacob and Maria Enns, one sister Mary Dyck and one brother Jake Enns.
Dave was a quiet man with a gentle personality and a generous heart. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. His family was very precious to him and he was proud of their accomplishments. He was a man of quiet faith which he lived day by day.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Morden Mennonite Church with Rev. Morris Vincent and Pastor Harold Hildebrand-Schlegel officiating. Interment followed at the Southside Cemetery.
As a family we would like to express our sincerest thanks to the wonderful staff on Palliative Care at Boundary Trails Health Centre. The care Dave received was above what was expected. Thank you to Morris Vincent and Harold Hildebrand Schlegel for the visits and also for making the service a celebration of life. Thank you to the pianists, special music, pallbearers, ushers and servers who in their own way helped the service to be a remembrance of a special person. Thank you to Wiebe Funeral Home for their care and compassion during a difficult time.
