Ann Janzen (nee Krebs)
1921 - 2006

Tuesday, September 12, 2006, Ann Janzen aged 85 years of Winkler formerly of the
Pembina Valley, passed away peacefully at Boundary Trails Health Center
surrounded by her family.
Ann, beloved wife of D. D. Janzen, was a loving mother and mother-in-law to Nelson and Sylvia Reimer of Saskatoon, SK and Jan and Ken Shotton of Teulon, MB. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and sister, Connie of Vancouver, BC.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Barbara Ruth Reimer in 2003.
Ann (nee Krebs) was born in Steinbach, MB on August 19, 1921. Mother spent her childhood there and went to work in Winnipeg as a teenager. On July 29, 1945 she married Harold Reimer who passed away January 12, 1961.
Along with raising three children, Mother enjoyed teaching Daily Vacation Bible School and Sunday School, using flannel graphs and singing songs. Music and poetry were always important to her.
On October 16, 1964 she married D. D. Janzen, and moved to the Pembina Valley, south of Morden. They built a house over looking the valley and added an extended family of four boys; Frank, Dick, Peter and Jake. During the next 42 years, they enjoyed traveling and many excursions around the lovely countryside. Ann was always ready with some baking when visiting with a sick friend. Along with her dignity and keen sense of humor, her husband and family will miss her love, warmth, caring and prayers.
Funeral service was held on Monday, September 18, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with Rev. Abe Wiebe officiating. Interment followed at Winkler Cemetery.
