Wednesday, September 1st, 2004 at the Carman Memorial Hospital,
Velma, aged 76 years of Miami, MB, beloved wife of Don, went to her eternal
rest.
Velma was involved in the Miami United Church, The Rebekah Lodge, and the U.C.W. She was active in the Horticultural Society and loved gardening. Velma was known to be very caring and supportive to her family and friends. Generosity and unselfish care and love were part of her everyday life.
Besides her husband, Don, Velma leaves to mourn her passing three sons; Larry and his wife Janice of Crystal City and grandsons Eric, Todd & Brett; Rick and his wife Wendy of the Miami District and grandsons Jason & wife Cindy and Adam and his fiancée Samantha, her two children Jacob & Jazmine; and Mark & his wife Tara of the Miami District and grandsons Jesse, Patrick & Brody. Also, two great-granddaughters Quinn and Keira (Jason); and one brother Duane and his wife Diane Compton of the Darlingford District.
Funeral service was held on Monday, September 6th at 2:00pm from the Miami United Church with Rev. Laurie Simpson and Rev. Morris Vincent officiating. Interment followed at the Miami Cemetery, Miami, MB.
