After a brave battle with cancer, Ruth Shopka passed away on the evening of November 10th. At the Riverview Health Center with her family at her side.
Ruth was born February 10th 1947 in Hague Sask. and moved Winkler MB with her parents at the age of one.
She was predeceased by here parent s Jacob in 1982 and Maria Bartsch in 1988. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Jacqueline and her husband Klaus Schneider of La Salle and their two sons Stefan and Tristan, one sister Martha and her husband George Thompson of Matlock MB and two brothers Jim and his wife Linda Bartsch of Winnipeg and Bill and his wife Anne Bartsch of Quesnel B.C also many nieces nephews relative and friends.
Viewing will be at the Chapel prior to the service. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 16th at 2:00pm at Wiebe Funeral Home 120 8th st Winkler with Rev. Jake Froese officiating. Interment will follow at the Reinfeld cemetery Wiebe Funeral Home of Winkler in care of arrangements.
