years, of Winkler, MB formerly of the Valleyfield District, went to his eternal
rest.
He leaves to mourn his passing 5 daughters; Mary and John Dyck of Winkler; Agatha and Jake Loewen of Winkler; Nettie and Henry Penner of Winkler; Margaret and John Thiessen of Schoenwiese; Kathy and Rev. Art Wiebe of Winkler; 7 sons; Abram and Sarah of Miami; Peter and Tina of Austin; Jake and Margaret of Blumenfeld; David and Sadie of the Morden District; Rev. John and Anne of the Valleyfield District; Ben and Anne of the Valleyfield District; Isaac and Lawanda of the Morden District. He also leaves 56 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; Katherine Friesen of Winnipeg; Margaret Friesen of Winnipeg and Aganetha Fehr of Winkler.
He was predeceased by his wife Maria Friesen (nee Penner) in 1985; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral service was held on Friday, May 7, 2004 at the Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church at 1:30 pm with Bishop Peter Heppner and Rev. Abe Wiebe officiating. Interment followed at the Waldheim Cemetery.
