Raymond “Ray” Roy

1918 – 2003

On Saturday November 29, 2003 at the Desalaberry District Health Centre, Raymond Roy, age 85, of St. Pierre Jolys, went to his eternal rest after an extended illness. 

He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Jacqueline (nee Prefontaine); 1 daughter Lucienne and Ken Green of Iles Des Chenes, and children Jackie & ALAIN Comeault, Joelle, Melanie; 2 sons Rex and Joyce Roy of Vancouver, B.C.; Larry and Gisele Roy of Winnipeg; 1 sister Rita Marquis; 2 Brothers Gerard and Philippe Roy all from St. Pierre and their families.

He was predeceased by 1 sister Olive Desaulniers and by 1 brother Roger Roy

Cremation has taken place.  Prayers were said at 1:30pm at the church prior to the service.  Funeral Mass was held Tuesday December 9, 2003, 2:00pm at St. Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Father Benjamin Kazadishadani officiating.  Inurnment will take place at the Glen Lawn Columbarium, Winnipeg, at a later date.  Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
