Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre, Peter B. Harder,
aged 86 years, of Winkler, MB formerly of Plum Coulee, MB went to his eternal
rest.
Peter was baptized at the Rudnerweide Sommerfeld Mennonite Church and later married Gertrude Giesbrecht on December 7, 1941.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Gertrude Harder (nee Giesbrecht) (2002); 2 sons; Ron Harder (2002); Dennis Harder (2003). Also 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
He leaves to mourn his passing; 1 daughter Peggy and her husband Dal van Ek-Veenstra of Edmonton, AB; 2 sons; Ken and his wife Cathy and Lindsay and his wife Lenore Harder all of Spruce Grove, AB; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn 2 daughters-in-law; Nancy (Ron) Harder of Winnipeg; Hilda (Dennis) Harder of Chilliwack, BC; 2 sisters; Eva and John K. Wiebe of Winkler; Agatha and Bill Giesbrecht of Waldheim, SK; 1 brother Ed and Mary Harder of Winkler; 1 sister-in-law Tina (John) Harder of Winkler; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 2:00 pm at the Winkler Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Bernie Thiessen and Rev. Abe Reimer officiating. Interment followed the Winkler Cemetery.
