Oliver Reinhold Rach

1920 – 2004

Oliver Reinhold Rach passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Boundary Trails Health Centre. Born in the 1-6 District, Oliver was educated in the Lindal School District. On completion of his education, he joined his parents and brothers in successful farming for over 50 years.

Forty years ago he gave up his bachelor hood to marry Mildred Elliot and her family.

Oliver enjoyed fishing and hunting but his greatest joy was his work shop and coffee with his buddies. Oliver’s sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and his sister.

Oliver is survived by Mildred and her family, Shirley and her husband Laurie Langrell of Winnipeg, MB; Caroll and her husband Jerry Pazgaj of Lethbridge, AB; Jack and his wife Sharon Elliot of Lac Du Bonnet, MB. He is also survived by grandchildren; Lori and husband Mike Burrows of Winnipeg; Kevin and Paul Langrell; Jeff and wife Virginia Hayhurst; Dean and wife Sheri Hayhurst; Kirk Hayhurst all of Lethbridge, AB; Keri Elliot of Lac Du Bonnet and Lisa and husband Neil Balfor of Winnipeg, MB; great grandchildren Brendan and Jesse Burrows; Tavia Hayhurst and Ashley Hayhurst as well as numerous relatives and friends.

By Oliver’s wishes, cremation has taken place, no formal service was held, ash burial. Celebration of life was held on Friday, October 15, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
